Mensaje de nuestro corresponsal: Beijing continues to have a strong salsa community, although presently we are down to one large salsa club. There are many dance studios each teaching their own version of the perfect dance. The Chinese take salsa dancing very seriously, and seem to adapt to the rhythm and the beats quite easily, unlike us Latinos who just like to dance for fun. There are one up parties at different club venues, but they are not consistent. For now Salsa Caribe is the only game in town. Hay varias escuelas de baile, cada cual interpreta su versión de salsa. Los Chinos toman su baile como una cuestión muy seria, y se adaptan a la música y el tumbao con gran facilidad. Pero no son como los Latinos a quienes nos gusta la música y el baile como diversión. Algunas de las escuelas hacen su fiestas Latinas en varias partes pero no son consistentes. Por ahora, Salsa Caribe es el único lugar fijo.

Tambien ofrece uno de las pistas de baile más amplias de Beijing. Diaramente también ofrecen instrucción básica de salsa empezando a las 8 p.m. Después de las 9:30 el DJ toca salsa y favoritos hits latinos. Viernes y Sábados tienen show de bailes. Después de la medianoche la música cambia a regaeton y hip hop. Entrada: 30 rmb. Abierto todos los días. They offer free beginer's lessons daily at 8:00 p.m. The house DJ comes on around 9:30, playing the latest salsa tunes. Most Friday and Saturday nights they will have dancing performances. After midnight it degenerates into reggaeton and hip hop. Cover Charge: 30 rmb. Open every day.
