This city has one of the finest Salsa communities anywhere! You can dance 4 nights out of the week from Wednesday through Saturday and always have a decent crowd. The primary style here is LA style though there is a large Cuban and Mexican community.

Andrea's Cha Cha Club @ Grand Café. 832 SE Grand Ave., Portland 503-230-1166 Wednesday – Saturday, 8 p.m. lesson, 9:30 - midnight dance. Cover: $5 This may be the most authentic Cuban Salsa venue in Portland. It is a small and dimly lit place in the basement of the karaoke bar-restaurant at the Grand Café. The walls are covered with nostalgic photos, as well as pictures of known singers and musicians. There is plenty of seating, and plenty of places to put down your drink as you are being asked to dance. With its full bar, and a good DJ, this place has consistently been kicking up some fun dance nights. Cover: $5 Puede que este sea el lugar más auténticamente cubano en Portland. Es pequeño y tiene una iluminación ténue en el subterráneo de un bar de karaoke/restaurante llamado el Grand Café. Aztec Willie’s 1501 NE Broadway, Portland 503-280-8900 Saturdays 9:30 - 10:15 p.m. – Lesson; 10:15 p.m. - 2:00 a.m. – Dancing Cover: $5 By day, Aztec Willie's is a top-notch family style Mexican restaurant, but by night it transforms into one of Portland's coolest Salsa clubs. The atmosphere is city-sheik meets Azteca with good lighting, a separate-yet-accessible bar area, high ceilings, and windows all around. Aztec Willie's is also home to the fabulous DJ Armando who really mixes the music for all patrons to enjoy. Don't miss out on there great drinks. These bar tenders deserve monster tips. El ambiente es elegante mezclado con azteca con buena luz, un bar accesible, cielos altos y ventanas por todos lados. Aztec Willie's también es el lugar de DJ Armando quien mezcla toda la música para el gozo de los patrones. Los tragos aquí son buenos y los que atienden el bar merecen buenas propinas.
Hob Nob Grille 3350 SE Morrison St., Portland 503-445-3665 Sundays - 8:00-9:00 lesson; 9-12 dancing Hob Nob Grille, an American pub when not spinning Salsa music, is the inspired, but tired, Salseros dream. Open Sunday nights only, this venue starts early and ends early, letting people get one more weekend groove on before the Monday alarm goes off. The food here is delicious and varied, the drinks are fantastic, and the overall atmosphere is perfectly mellow and absent of all ego. Unlike most Salsa clubs, you can actually have a conversation with friends while not dancing and even enjoy a Sunday supper. And it is free.	Hob Nob Grille 3350 SE Morrison St., Portland 503-445-3665 Domingos - 8 a 9 p.m. clase, 9 a 12 baile abierto Hob Nob Grille, un pub americano cuando no están tocando salsa, es el sueño realizado de los salseros inspirados pero cansados. Abierto solamente los domingos en la noche este lugar comienza y termina temprano, invitándoles a disfrutar una vez mas antes de comenzar la semana. La comida está esquisita y el ambiente relajado y sin ego. Lo que lo diferencia de otros lugares es que puedes tener una conversación si no estás bailando y hasta compartir una cena del domingo. Lo mejor: es gratis.
Mambo Lounge 17 SE 8th Ave. (2nd floor), Portland 503-314-2639 Fridays - Saturdays 9:30-10:15 lesson; 10:15 - 2 a.m. dancing Cover: $7 (Fri) $10-20 (Sat, depending on the band) The Mambo Lounge offers live music almost every week and a 1300 sq. ft. dance floor that dancers of all levels can appreciate. Patrons love the red velvet and vintage Ballroom ambiance that is not overstated, and a seating area that is raised off the floor (although a little inconvenient when moving on and off the dance floor). Advice? Just stay on dance floor! The bar keepers are friendly, but the selection is limited and the drinks are a bit weak. When there is no band, DJ Roger Rumba is the chatty spin-doctor who is responsible for giving this place it's energetic vibe.	Mambo Lounge 17 SE 8th Ave. (2ndo piso), Portland 503-314-2639 Viernes - sábados 9:30 a 10:15 clase; 10:15 a 2 a.m. baile abierto. Cover: $7 (viernes) $10-$20 (sábados, según el grupo). El Mambo Lounge ofrece música en vivo casi cada semana y una pista de baile de casi 1,300 pies cuadrados para bailadores de todo nivel. Los clientes adoran el ambiente cubierto en terciopelo rojo, tipo ballroom y una área para sentarse elevado de la pista (aunque un poco incómodo al entrar y salir de la pista). Consejo? Quédate en la pista no mas! Los que atienden son amigables pero la selección es limitada y los tragos no son muy fuertes. Cuando no hay un conjunto en vivo, DJ Roger Rumba es el responsable de darle una buen vibra al local.
Qube Lounge 108 SW Pine St., Portland 9-10 Salsa/Bachata Lesson 10-2 Dancing Qube Lounge is one of Portland's newest clubs conveniently located downtown near the river. They have food and drink specials designed for Thursday night Salseros, and an old wood floor (yay, spins!). For being downtown, there is plenty of parking available at any of the 3 parking lots located within one block. Qube serves as the replacement for the gone, but much loved Blue Dragon Fly, and is still hosted by Sabor Latino & DJ Armando, so the vibe, the tunes, and crowd are sure to reflect the good old days at BDF.	Qube Lounge 108 SW Pine St., Portland 9-10 Clase de Salsa/Bachata 10-2 Baile abierto Qube Lounge es uno de los clubs más nuevos de Portland, ubicado en el centro cerca del río. Tienen especiales de comida y tragos para los salseros los jueves en la noche y una pista de madera. A pesar de estar en el centro, hay suficiente estacionamiento en cualquier de los 3 lotes ubicados a una cuadra de distancia. Qube reemplaza al querido, difunto, Blue Dragon Fly y el animador es aún Sabor Latino con el DJ Armando, así que la onda y la música, además del público, refleja los buenos tiempos en el BDF.
